Mary Reynolds
National Board Certified Acupuncturist
Following twenty years of nursing practice, Mary graduated Cum Laude from Midwest College of Oriental Medicine with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition, and a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine. She completed a clinical internship at the Guangzhou University of Traditional Medicine, in Guangzhou, China in 2007. She has been in private practice in Wisconsin since 2009 and has many successes in treating migraines, sinusitis, IBS, insomnia, pain, hormonal imbalances and helping with the relief of side effects of cancer treatments.
Mary enjoys seeing a wide span of ages and conditions. Many clients come to her with conditions resulting from stress, and poor nutritional and lifestyle choices. With a series of treatments, digestive and emotional health improves, and clients feel motivated to make healthier lifestyle choices.
TCM works together with Western Medicine to bring the body towards a state of balance. Its modalities can offer clients a choice without the unwanted side effects produced by medications and the disruption caused by interventions such as surgery-- the most common side effect of acupuncture is a sense of well being and relaxation, due to the release of endorphins and serotonin.
As a nurse and national board certified acupuncturist, Mary’s mission is to promote the healing art of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and provide safe, effective, and reliable treatments, with an emphasis on client education and self care. TCM is a gentle tool to move the body, mind, and spirit from a pattern of dis-ease to ease. Mary believes our bodies are coded for wholeness and balance.
Mary continues postgraduate studies in pain management, whole food therapy, mindfulness practices, and exercise therapies. These include Dr. Tan and Master Tung’s acupuncture methods, the study of Tai Chi Qi Gong, EFT and breathwork. She looks forward to working together with you and the other practitioners at Solcare in guiding you towards maintaining optimum health.
