I am very excited to bring another opportunity to the clients of Solcare to improve their overall health and well being through the use of Reiki.
Reiki is an ancient Japanese technique of working with the energy source within the body bringing balance of the mind, body and soul. During a Reiki session, which usually is 1 hour in length, clients remain fully clothed and lay in a comfortable position on a therapeutic table. The practitioner uses their hands, hovering above the body or applying light touch to areas of dis- ease.
Reiki is known to improve anxiety, depression, insomnia, pain from injuries and arthritis, nausea from chemotherapy as well as provides an overall sense of joy and relaxation.
I have been a Pediatric Oncology Nurse since 1996 and continue to work on an inpatient unit. I am a certified Reiki Master level Practitioner and enjoy seeing the changes and peace my clients and patients experience after each session. Slowing down the mind gives a person the ability to connect to one’s true self and this is where authentic peace resides.
I traveled to India and spent an amazing month gaining valuable knowledge on meditation, breath work and ancient forms of yoga. I am a former long distance runner and proud finisher of the Wisconsin Ironman. I enjoy spending time with my two children and husband outdoors, biking, skiing, fishing and gardening. Peace and balance come to my life through daily practice of yoga and meditation. I believe one of my greatest gifts is working with people in need of healing and watching as they bloom with grace into their truth.
