(short for detoxification) is a systematic approach that assists your body in removing toxins that are stored in the tissues. It is a process that occurs marvelously and naturally within the body. In our polluted environment, many bodies simply become over-loaded as a result of cumulative exposure to environmental toxins, beginning even before birth. We eat, breath and drink them. Toxins are everywhere.
The bottom line is that for many people, the body's systems cannot process these toxins as quickly as they are ingested or generated, resulting in symptoms of toxicity. Additional factors such as stress, unresolved emotional issues or other illness may impact the immune system which is our body's defense against disease.
